An artist’s job is not to reproduce the visible, but to explore the possible.

Notes to Self - j. lonack

Jennifer Lonack is a self-employed multimedia artist for over 20 years with a San Diego based home studio. Jennifer has always been very creative and has always found great joy in the play in the world of art.  She has studied many artistic disciplines throughout her life with established teachers and artists.  She has continued her artistic studies through an Associate Degree in Art including the dramatic arts, photography, language studies, poetry, and cultural exploration. She continually draws form these various techniques in a playful, whimsical way to create joyful expressions of wonder and experimentation.  Whimsy is what is found in the core of her diverse creations.

I am currently exploring international contemporary art galleries for representation.

Working on two mixed media projects – “The Marriage of Opposites Series” and “The Art of My Garbage Series”

”Art picked me, I didn’t have a choice -  I see everything with an artists eye, I experience color, dimension and personality with innate objects, nature, humanity, ideas, thoughts, as well as the environment...Everything is art, and part of the creative process.  It’s really quite amazing, and sometimes really annoying (especially when your just trying to do something as mundane as brushing your teeth – you wish it didn’t have to be such a moment of exploration and observation).”
